Ever since Mary and I visited England in 2000 I’ve been trying to write a haiku worthy of one of my favorite songs.

Waterloo Station —
I’m almost surprised
not to hear music

and a silly four-liner, more of a sentence fragment than a haiku:

yes I know
my favorite song
is about
a subway station

To paraphrase Love Story, "haiku means never having to say you’re finished"...
