My apologies to everyone for the scheduled but otherwise unannounced disappearance. Mary and I went to Placencia, Belize in Central America for 8 days of rest and relaxation in the tropical sunshine. As it turns out, the sun only showed up for one day, but we brought plenty of reading material with us, and made certain that we had a constant supply of Belikin. While we had access to the internet, it was slow and expensive, therefore I thought it best to limit ourselves to “emergencies” and to catch up on the blog upon my return.

Here in New England, snow is falling. We’ll probably get at least a foot before I reluctantly venture out to shovel.
